“Space… The Final Frontier” For Drama Club’s Season

Drama Club has been preparing for their spring show to wrap up the 2016-2017 season.

The spring show is “Captain’s Log,” a fictional adventure through space that follows First Officer Sally Ride as she battles an intergalactic conspiracy against a peace treaty and the incompetence of her captain.

The cast includes:

  • Freshman Kellan Duffy as Drake
  • Senior Jayci Lawson as Blanche
  • Senior Allen Van Luvender as Admiral
  • Sophomore Josh Thompson as H’Cor
  • Sophomore Eric Payne as Malcolm

The cast and crew have been working around the clock to get ready for Captain’s Log. With makeup ready, costumes on hand, props made, lights and sound tested, and lines learned, cast and crew are ready for opening night. Opening night is Thursday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.

The original show time for Thursday was 7:30 p.m, the show had to get pushed back 30 minutes, for Drama Club members in Catalyst singing the National Anthem at the Dayton Dragons opening day.

There is also a show Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8, both at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
