The softball team has been preparing for its annual tournament play in Florida over Spring Break. The trip allows the team to get an edge before their season starts.

“I can’t believe how lucky we are because other sports don’t get the same opportunity,” said senior varsity pitcher Amanda Rose.

The players are even more excited because of the poor weather conditions they’ve had in Ohio, making it difficult to take the field.

“I am so excited for this trip. I have been excited about it since we left Florida last year,” said Rose.

While nearly all students are looking forward to Spring Break, the softball and baseball teams get to look forward to Spring Break in Florida.

“I’m really looking forward to all the sun and finally playing in some warm weather,” said sophomore Ryanne Stoffel, a member of the JV team.

The team has been going to Florida for nearly 20 years.
