Two A cappella groups, consisting of students from every grade, are taking the stage at Northmont this year. The two clubs are Impulse and Catalyst.

“So many good singers auditioned, Mrs. King decided to make two groups,” said freshman Maddie Blessing, who is a member of Impulse.

The two clubs practice Mondays and Thursdays to get ready for their performances.

“The performance I was most excited for was at Friday’s football game during half time,” said freshman Steven Greenwalt. Catalyst performed at the home football game on September 10, 2016.

Catalyst was formed during the 2014-2015 school year, with several members returning each year.

“I have been on Catalyst for two years and my favorite part about it is performing,” said senior Andrew Wirrig

Catalyst and Impulse are open to any student at Northmont High School. Members recommend people try out if they enjoy singing and are good at it.
