On Sunday, May 17, five rival biker gangs began a shootout in the parking lot of a Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas.
Over 100 suspects were arrested at the scene of the shooting.
Dozens of guns, chains, clubs, and other weapons were found in the possession of the suspects.
Police expected there would be trouble and pre-positioned officers near the Twin Peaks restaurant, where the shootout took place.
Nine people were killed and there were upwards of eighteen injuries.
Police have claimed that Twin Peaks has not been very helpful in dealing with gang activity at its doorstep in the past.
One officer, who has been on the job for 35 years, said it was the most gruesome crime scene he’s ever seen.
Twin Peaks has released a statement claiming it is evaluating the circumstances of the shooting.
Of the nine people killed at the scene, none of them were employees, bystanders, or police officers.
To avoid injury when the fight broke out in the store, some employees and customers hid in the restaurant’s freezer.
