Remodeled Auditorium was Dedicated November 6
November 11, 2016
Northmont held the dedication for the Community Auditorium on November 6, 2016. The dedication was open to all.
Guests received a program which included background of the auditorium. The architects, the Board of Education, and Central Office Administration were also thanked in the program as well.
The program included:
- ROTC presenting the American flag
- Student Board Representative senior Kyndall Wilson recited the Pledge of Allegiance
- Ms. Linda Blum, Board President, welcoming guests
- Mr. Tom Walker, Board Member, giving a plague to Mr. Bob McClintock for his assistance with construction (McClintock is retiring this year)
- Mr. Tony Thomas, superintendent, addressing the crowd
- Ribbon-cutting
- Marching Band performing in the aisles of the auditorium
- Drama Club performing 2 short plays: “Living” featuring senior Allen Van Luvander and senior Taylor Harmon, and “Sugar” featuring sophomore Josh Thompson and junior Maggie Salata
- Catalyst performing two songs: “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri, and “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson
After the dedication was complete, guests got to look more in depth at the newly opened area. Refreshments were also available to guests. The dedication was considered the second historic event for Northmont in the past year.
