Rose Blossoms in 50 Point Game
Derrick Rose Scores Career High VS The Utah Jazz
November 2, 2018
On October 31, the Minnesota Timberwolves hosted the Utah Jazz in a nail biting game. After the close 128-125 point victory by the Wolves, point guard Derrick Rose is responsible for their late game rally to pull away with the win.
Drafted back in 2008, Rose was the first overall first pick in the draft. After winning league MVP (Most Valuable Player) Rose suffered an injury to his knee. After multiple injuries, multiple surgeries, and missing multiple games per season, it was a huge accomplishment for Rose to reach 50 points in one game, his new career high. He hit 4 3 point shots out of 7 attempts, he hit 8 out of 10 free throws, and multiple jump shots and layups to help him reach his biggest game in his career.
After the game was over, athletes and celebrities congratulated Rose on his performance all over America. Many took to social media to show Rose a congratulations. People such as Jimmy Butler, LeBron James, Taj Gibson (all former teammates), and many more.
With early success in the 2018-2019 season, many are hoping that Rose can avoid another long term injury so he can keep his high scoring performances going.
