Kabul Airport Bomber left 13 U.S Soldiers Dead

The Taliban is taking credit for the bombing on U.S soldiers.

Al Qaeda claims responsibility for leaving 13 U.S military people dead after a blindside bombing attack in Kabul airport bombing in Afghanistan. Outside of Kabul National Airport, ISIS-K Militant group claims responsibility for the suicide bombing, killing 13 U.S military, ten of them being marines, and 18 people injured and at least killing 60 Afghans and more then 140 Afghans were injured, according to AP News.

The mother of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. David L. Espinoza tells kgns.tv she is still trying to make sense of the death of her son. Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar released a statement on Facebook saying that Espinoza is a hero and that his heart goes out to Espinoza’s family during this difficult time. Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee was killed during the airport bombing her husband says “Gee posted a photo on Instagram of herself in uniform while holding a baby in Afghanistan with the caption, “I love my job.” This attack on American military members opened eyes to the U.S and due to this blindside attack.President Biden called the Americans who lost their lives in the bombing, “heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our highest American ideals and while saving the lives of others.”

Biden says ”high profile ISIS targets were killed and another was injured in a US drone strike in Afghanistan, a retaliatory step following the terrorist attack that killed 13 US service members.” Biden states “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”
