A new restaurant will be opening in Dayton arcade in the coming year. This restaurant will be serving authentic Italian food with an extensive wine selection from the menu. The restaurant, called Est! Est! Est! will open in the arcades Commercial and Fourth Street buildings, according to a press release obtained by Dayton.Com November 3rd, 2022.

According to Dayton.Com writer Natalie Jones also shares that the restaurant will be led by Chef Simone Conosciani of Rome, Italy. “Being Italian, it has been a lifelong dream of mine to bring authentic Italian cuisine to the United States,” Conosciani said. “Living in the United States has given me nothing but further inspiration for all types of cuisine from around the world. The pure expression of culture through food, in my opinion, is magical.”

DaytonLocal says the restaurant will serve many appetizers, brick oven pizzas, handmade pasta, gelato, and other authentic Italian dishes. This menu will be enjoyed with many traditional Italian cocktails, included with a glass of wine from the sophisticated wine list on the menu, provided by the restaurant.

The construction of the restaurant will begin in the next few weeks and is expected to open up for the public in the early weeks of spring in 2023, writer Joshua Richardson for Dayton247 reports. Est! Est! Est! will be joining other restaurants supported by the arcade which include Gather by Ghostlight, Table 33, and also the 6888 Kitchen.

According to Mayfair Hospitality, Est! Est!! Est!!! is the name of a famous Italian white wine, but the phrase comes from an old story told in Italy about a German bishop on his travels. “He directed a boy to travel ahead and scout the places that had good wine, writing “Est!” (Italian for “There is!”) on the walls of inns that served good wine,” Mayfair Hospitality explained. “When the scout arrived in Montefiascone, where Est! Est!! Est!!! is made, he found the wine to be so good that he wrote “Est! Est!! Est!!!””
