Sawyer Hill, a musician who started his music journey in Fayetteville, AR, has recently grown astronomically and even announced a large number of tours in the United States. The tour is called “Look at the Time Tour” because of Sawyer’s big hit song “Look at the Time” which reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart in the U.S in February. According to Billboard.com, “By the time he was a freshman in high school, he was good enough to join a band full of seniors. “Whenever they all graduated, they’re like, ‘We’re playing bars now, so you’re either going to do that with us or hit the road,’” Hill recalls. The choice was easy: He started playing bars around the age of 15. “I was always hanging out with 30- and 40-year-olds at the bar who were telling me their whole life story,” Hill says.”
In an interview with music fan Carson Dunn, he answered several questions before and after hearing the song “Symphony”.
Have you ever heard of Sawyer Hill before?
“No, I have not. Never heard of him.”
Are you interested in grungy slow music?
“I mean, I like grunge music like Nirvana but I’ve never heard of slow grunge but I’d be interested. New music is fun!”
The song “Symphony” was then played.
How did you feel about the song overall?
“I like how calm his voice was with more grungy guitar and drums. It was a nice mix.”
Would you listen to him again?
“I mean, I’ve got a lot on my plate but yeah sure. He seems pretty good.”
Finally, what are any thoughts you have about this band?
“Where are they from and have they only just started? Is there an album?”
