According to Amanda Langell from a Sports Illustrated article, “Real Madrid came out of the tunnel looking for more goals, and who else but Mbappé to find the back of the net. The 26-year-old sent a left-footed strike past Ederson in the 61st minute to bag his second hat trick in a white shirt. Nico González scored nothing more than a consolation goal for the visitors in the 92nd minute” (Feb. 19th, 2025).

In Terms of what Manchester City is feeling, according to Andy Edwards from NBC Sports, Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s head coach/manager, said, “After we conceded the goal in the first action, we didn’t defend well. It was more and more difficult. We have to accept it, the best team won so congratulations to Real Madrid. Now we focus on the Premier League. [They are] a fantastic team, they deserve to go through. We didn’t deserve it, it’s the first year we didn’t make a good Champions League season. We have to accept it and fight for next season to be here again. Of course Real Madrid are contenders to win the Champions League now, but there are other good teams around” (Feb. 20th, 2025).
