These frequent acts of crime have been circling Ohio for quite some time now. For example, there is a report from Mahoning Matters in 2024 where a middle-aged Portage County man was arrested for stealing sports cards from another Meijer on 1400 Boardman Canfield Road (Mahoning Matters Staff, August 8, 2024). Mahoning Matters states that this act happened on July 14th, at around 2:40 P.M., and the man left the store an hour later. The man was found and arrested on August 5th by the Boardman Police.
Although this trend is a bit questionable, the Brimfield Police Department is keen to address its ongoing issue of trading card thefts from local stores. They are eager to find any information regarding their case and encourage people to reach out if anyone has any information.
