On April 26th and April 27th, the Semi Final leg of the FA Cup will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The favorites to win the competition are Manchester City. With it being their 19th time making it through to this stage, they know what to expect. However, their recent form this season in the Premier League and other competition may be the cause of their fallout of this competition as well. According to the Premier League’s website, Man City have only won 15 of their current 31 games this season. Also according to UEFA’s website, of the 10 matches played in the champions league this season, City have only won 3, drew 2 and lost 5.

Nottingham Forest will face City at Wembley on April 27th. According to Sky Sports, “Forest, who beat Brighton on penalties in the quarter-finals on Saturday, will take on the seven-time winners at Wembley in their first FA Cup semi-final in 34 years” (April 4th, 2025). According to the same article, “The pair most recently met in early March at the City Ground as Forest won 1-0, but in December Manchester City beat Nuno Espirito Santo’s side 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium” (April 4th, 2025).
The other match will take place on April 26th between Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. Sky Sports also said that, “Meanwhile, seven-time winners Villa are attempting to lift the FA Cup for the first time in 68 years after Unai Emery’s side eased past Championship side Preston with a 3-0 quarter-final win at Deepdale” (April 4th, 2025). According to the same article, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa’s past matches resulted in a 4-1 win for Palace.
