On September 29 2025 Los Angeles, CA — Pop singer d4vd (David Anthony Burke) is involved in an ongoing investigation after the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered in his name.
The car had been towed from a Los Angeles neighborhood and later drew attention from impound lot workers due to a strong odor. Upon inspection, police discovered human remains “Celeste Rivas Hernandez Was Likely ‘Dead for Several Weeks’ Before Being Found in d4vd’s Tesla Trunk: Police”, People magazine reported (Sept. 25, 2025).

On the outside it might seem like an open and shut case but so far David is not a prime suspect.
“Despite the apparent evidence linking him to the victim … d4vd has not been arrested or named as a suspect in her death,” Men’s Journal stated (Sept. 25, 2025). However, authorities executed a search warrant at a property linked to the case and seized electronic devices for further examination. The medical examiner is still working to determine the exact cause of death, as the remains were found in an advanced state of decomposition. Public speculation about a possible relationship between Burke and Hernandez has grown, fueled by social media posts and alleged matching tattoos.
People noted that “photos show that both Hernandez and Burke appeared to have matching ‘Shhh…’ tattoos on their right index fingers” (Sept. 24, 2025), but law enforcement has not confirmed any connection between the two. In response, d4vd has canceled several tour dates, and his team has not issued a public statement.
