The Coronavirus has been spreading non stop over the world & for a while no celebrity cases were really mentioned until 2 weeks ago. A number of athletes across the world have confirmed they have tested positive for COVID-19. The most recent batch of cases have come from the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets. 

According to CBS Sports, “On Tuesday, we learned of four players who have tested positive for the illness — all members of the Brooklyn Nets, including former MVP Kevin Durant. The star forward has not played this season due to a torn Achilles tendon, and was already not planning to return even if things get pushed back late into the summer.”

“As this process continues to unfold, there will likely be even more NBA players who test positive for the coronavirus, as it is unfortunately extremely contagious.”(CBS Sports) 

Since so many of these players have come in contact with other players , all the players are being tested and so far a handful of the players have tested positive & if not the players, the coaches too. 

Luckly, none of the players are really experiencing the heavy symptoms. According to USA Today , Kevin Durant spoke with The Athletic, saying he feels fine: “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’re going to get through this.” 

With all the players having to be tested, and some coming out as positive for COVID-19 , the NBA season has been cancelled until further notice. Although this has made many fans upset, they all know it’s for a good cause.
