NFL Award Nominations

The NFL has announced who could possibly win the personal awards.

On January 25th the NFl released the end of season award nominees. The awards are AP(Associate Press) Most Valuable Player (MVP), AP Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY), AP Offensive Player of the year (OPOY), AP Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROTY), AP Defensive Rookie of the Year (DROTY), AP Comeback Player of the Year (CPOY), and finally the AP Coach of the Year. None of these have been given  to anybody yet they will announce who wins each award on February 9th 2023.

The MVP nominees are Josh Allen, QB( Quarterback) for the Buffalo Bills. Jalen Hurts QB for the Philadelphia  Eagles and currently led his team to Super Bowl 57. Patrick Mahomes the Kansas City Chiefs QB and also going against Hurts in the Super Bowl. Joe Burrow the Cincinnati Bengals QB. And lastly Justin Jefferson a WR (Wide Receiver) who plays for the Minnesota Vikings, a wide receiver has also never won a MVP ever in NFL history so it is possible that in only his third year Justin could win it.

Then the AP Defensive Player of the Year. The nominees are Nick Bosa who plays for the San Francisco 49ers and is a DE (Defensive End). Chris Jones a DT(Defensive Tackle) who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. And lastly Micah Parsons a Cowboys LB ( Linebacker).  

Back to the offensive side we have the AP Offensive Player of the Year and the Nominees are Patrick Mahomes his second nomination this year and possible winner for both . Tyreek Hill a WR (Wide Receiver) for the Miami Dolphins. Justin Jefferson again another great player with another nomination for a trophy. Jalen Hurts, the last player on this list with more than one nomination.

Still on the topic about Offense but now it’s the younger guys. The AP Offensive Rookie of the Year nominees are  Brock Purdy, the QB (QuarterBack) for the San Francisco 49ers. Kenneth Walker III the Seattle Seahawks RB (RunningBack). Garret Wilson a WR (Wide Receiver) for the New York Jets.

We’re still talking about the new people in the league but now we’re switching sides With the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, the nominees are. Sauce Gardner a CB (Cornerback) for the New York Jets. Aidan Hutchinson the Detroit Lions DE (Defensive End). And lastly Tariq Woolen the Seattle Seahawks CB (Cornerback).


Now the AP Comeback Player of the Year. The possible winners are Saquon Barkley, the New York Giants RB (Running back). Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks QB (Quarterback). And then Christian McCaffery, the QB (Quarterback) for the San Francisco 49ers.

Lastly the Head Coaches, the AP Coach of the Year nominees are  Brian Daboll, the Head Coach of the New York Giants, Sean McDormott the Buffalo Bills Head Coach, Kyle Shanahan San Francisco 49ers Head Coach, Doug Peterson  Head Coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Nick Siriann the Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach.
