On March 14, 2023, gender-neutral bathrooms were opened in Discovery Land at Disneyland Paris for a test run; it is unknown how long they will stay.

According to WDW News, the bathrooms opened near Autopia in Discovery Land. The bathrooms are adjacent to the women’s bathroom. The space already existed so no new construction was needed. The area for the men’s bathroom stays unchanged for the time being. This was easy to do because the sign just needed to be changed. These bathrooms will be able to be used by any gender while in the park.

A Twitter user by the name CaveOfWonders shared pictures of the new bathrooms. Then the account DLP Resort also shared images and talked about the location and how no construction was needed to make the bathroom.

Gender-neutral bathrooms were made worldwide at Disney parks during the Magical Pride event. However, they did not stay open for normal Disney operating hours.

According to Inside The Magic, This is a part of many changes that have happened at Disney parks with trying to be more welcoming to guests of all backgrounds and identities.  These changes include: removing “ladies and gentlemen,” from any announcements that need to be made in the parks, and removing racially insensitive images and references in Disney attractions.

It is still unknown how long this change will be in place, or if this will now be a company-wide change to Disney parks, resorts, restaurants, and cruise lines.
