As of January 31th, Roblox has announced that they would be removing classic heads and faces and replacing them for dynamic heads. a more expressive version of its counterpart. Classic faces are pngs that are placed onto your avatar, displaying only one expression, while Dynamic heads are animated and expressive – contrasting classic faces completely.

Creator Hub, a forum where Roblox developers alike can write about update in regards to certain projects, was orginally where the message was relayed.
Within a Weekly Recap from Developer Relations, Bluff_006, discussed about how ” All Classic Heads and Faces will be replaced with corresponding Dynamic Heads in February 2026, ” ( Bluff_006 , Jan 31 ).
Bluff made sure to emphasize that this included both limited heads and faces, only replacing them with a new dynamic version whilst keeping its orginal serial number.
Because of this sudden annoucement along with the new age-limit system for chatting with others was put into affect, this has caused some uproar within the community about whether or not this was cause off-sale items to completely lose their value.
According to Roblox within a PiunikaWen article, they claim that Classic Heads and Faces no longer meet the updated Marketplace policy for Avatar Heads, which requires that all heads allow users to express themselves through animation ( Cubbins , Jan 28th ).
