Northmont’s NJROTC academic team will be competing in “The Brain Brawl,” on October 18 at Scarlett Oaks High School. The competition tests both intelligence and speed, as four teams of four race to answer trivia questions.

Academics Commander junior Gracie Fink is confident about the upcoming competition. The team has new additions and has been practicing frequently.

“We’ve been practicing by answering all different kinds of questions, practicing with buzzers, and using questions from previous years’ competitions,” said Fink.

The team is preparing to go up against teams from Franklin Heights, Pike High School, and Hamilton High School.

“It’ll be interesting to see how we measure up (to other teams),” said Fink.

The team hopes to not only do well in “The Brain Brawl,” but also to win first place in the Area 3 Competition.
