On September 6th, Roblox announced the winners of the 2025 Roblox Innovation Awards at

the San Jose Civic Theater in California, celebrating the year’s best games and creators.

The event had served as a gathering for upcoming developers, creators, and even promotional brands within the Roblox platform.

According to an article on Variety over the same topic, the annual event was part of the

11th annual Roblox Developer Conference, being hosted by Roblox’s head of the developer community, Justin Sousa, or ‘ JParty ‘ on Roblox ( Maas, Sep, 6, 25 ).

Roblox launched a game on their platform called “ Voting Hub ” where players could join and nominate games for certain categories, casting their votes directly in-platform. The hub also offered small in-game rewards and photo booths to encourage participation, making the vote feel like an event rather than just a web form.

When the winners were announced, a few titles were mentioned more than once due to them being deemed as the ‘ best ‘ in their catalog.

Mentioned in a Pocket Tactics article, Grow a Garden was picked for several major awards and was widely discussed afterward because of its massive player counts this year; the game’s rapid user count peaking over other games such as Fortnite and even Minecraft ( Collins, Sep, 7, 25 ).

Other winners included 99 Nights in the Forest and Steal a Brainrot, along with honors for creators and companies across categories like Best Use of Tech, Best Creative Direction, and People’s Choice.
