The king of Britain King Charles recently cut his brother Prince Andrew from the royal family, Stripping away his titles, privileges, and his mansion. All this in an attempt to keep Buckingham Place out of Andrew’s scandal with the Epstein files.
The royal family has always been under extreme pressure to act on the claims about Andrew. The public’s anger has been raised ever since one of his victims had spoken up about his abuse.

In an attempt to control the situation around two weeks ago Andrew relinquished the usage of his titles, according to CNN he says it was his duty to put his family and country first. However this wasn’t enough as the public grew angrier.
To hopefully end the scandal King Charles announced from Buckingham Palace that Andrew was to lose his status immediately, being reduced to simply Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
This is the first time a senior royal has been cast out since 1963. However, Andrew’s controversies have been affecting the Royal Family for years. This along with the public’s outrage left the family no choice.
A NBC royal contributor Emily Nash says “He understood that this was really getting to a point where it was doing very serious damage to the royal family,” (Aggarwall Oct 31.)

However despite that some feel this isn’t enough. The chief of a anti-monarchy campaign— Grant Smith told NBC “Being told you have to live in your own house and being called by your name is not a punishment,” (Aggarwall Oct 31.)
Many along with Smith are now pushing for a proper investigation against Andrew.
