On December 10th 2025, Michigan Football Head Coach Sherrone Moore was fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This poor decision by Moore is unfortunate all around for the whole Michigan program and has already affected people involved with the program. Including other staff members and new recruits that recently signed for next year’s season. Sherrone Moore “was charged Friday with third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering without breaking”(Bromberg Dec. 12 2025).

Moore made his situation even worse attempting to harm the assistant he had relations with which shouldn’t even have crossed his mind since he is the one to blame for how things resulted.  Unfortunately due to the situation Michigan will have to enter “the coaching market at a precarious time, as all major openings have been filled”(Dec. 10 2025 Rittenburg). Replacing Sherrone Moore’s head coaching position will most likely be a hassle because of the scandalous activities that’s been happening at the University of Michigan.

Same with getting new recruits in the far future. Overall, Sherrone Moore made an abrasive decision to cheat on his wife that he was together for over a decade. Which led to a giant loophole of negative consequences for him, which he will have to face no matter what. His image will also be tarnished forever even if a long time passes by. Sherrone Moore will have a difficult time trying to find another coaching job let alone a job in general. Hopefully he will gain a lesson out of the entire situation.
