On April 8th,2026 a woman named Jasveen Sangha admitted in a plea agreement to working with a fellow drug dealer to provide the famous “Friends” actor Matthew Perry, with dozens of vials of ketamine, including the dose that led to his unfortunate death in October 2023 at the age of 54.
Due to this fact, the ‘Ketamine Queen’ name was given to her and was sentenced to 15 years in prison for providing the drug that killed Matthew Perry. At the age of 42, Sangha pleaded guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises and three counts of distribution of ketamine. This caused Sangha to face a maximum of 65 years in prison.

“You’re going to have to show some epic resilience,” Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett said to Jasveen Sangha, echoing the defendant’s words earlier in the hearing about her self-improvement(April 8,2026). The 42-year-old became the third defendant sentenced of the five people who have pleaded guilty in connection with the overdose of the 54-year-old actor. Soon after this was made aware to the court, Sangha stated “I am deeply ashamed of how my actions affected all of the families here today”, adding that she has “done everything I can to be a better person”(April 8,2026).
Perry, 54, was found in the heated end of his pool at his home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles on Oct. 28, 2023. He was pronounced dead soon after police had arrived. In his final months, he had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to treat depression and anxiety. But he sought unsupervised doses, developing a dependence on the drug that prosecutors said was “spiraling out of control”(April 8,2026).
In addition to Sangha’s criminal charges, four others were charged and pleaded guilty in connection with Perry’s death: the other dealer, Erik Fleming; Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s live-in personal assistant; and two doctors, Mark Chavez and Salvador Plasencia”(April 8,2026).Leading up to Perry’s death, Iwamasa repeatedly injected Perry with the ketamine that Sangha supplied to Fleming,” the Department of Justice said in a news claim made last year. “Specifically, on October 28, 2023, Iwamasa injected Perry with at least three shots of Sangha’s ketamine, which caused Perry’s death”(April 8,2026).
