Three women were found dead in Wayne County, Utah on Wednesday, Mar. 6th. The suspect, Ivan Miller, was taken into custody early Thursday morning. Two of the women were found on a hiking trail, and the other was found in a residence.
Ivan fled Utah to Colorado, being tracked by licence plate cameras the whole way. He was captured near Pagosa Springs after he abandoned his car, which it seems like was the hikers Subaru SUV.

The victims have been identified as Margaret Oldroyd, 86, Linda Dewey, 65 and Natalie Graves, who was 34. Dewey was Grave’s aunt, but there was no evidence that they knew Oldroyd. Thus far, there has been to information released that would indicate that Miller knew any of the victims.
While Ivan was on the loose, the Wayne County Sheriff’s office told the public, according to CBS News, to”take extra precautions, such as locking doors, remaining at home or with others, and being vigilant about surroundings” (Dakks, Mar 6.). Classes in area schools were also canceled.
According to the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office, Miller is being charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft and carrying a concealed weapon.
For now, Miller will remain in custody in Colorado.
