On March 4 2026 A Marine and US Senate candidate Brian McGuinness had his arm broken after he was getting removed from a Senate hearing after he was protesting decisions on the Iran policies. There were many videos going around on social media about the whole situation happening. Brian “McGuinness is charged with three counts of assault on police officers and resisting arrest”(Simmons March 11, 2026). People that watched the video don’t agree that he should have been removed from the hearing since he was just speaking up for others.

When his arm was broken he didn’t have a crazy reaction, he just stood and went silent. After the event Brian McGuinness spoke out and said “Our Military is being used to provoke violence and to pad the pockets of billionaires and politicians who will never lead for the causes they are pushing”(Thakker March 12, 2026). He has experience in the military himself, so people can look from a point of view of a military person.

Many other people that worked in the military were heartbroken seeing the video since Brian wasn’t trying to start anything physical but to be vocal about problems with the government and people in power. Specifically speaking about the war that is brewing between the US and Iran. Overall Brian McGuiness was at a Senate hearing attempting to protest about current US war issues with Iran and he was forcefully removed from the hearing after he started to get loud. No matter the political standpoint, many people didn’t agree with Brian having his arm broken trying to help others.
