On April 29, 2026, 2 Jewish people, aged 76 and 34, were stabbed in Golders Green, London, the police have since labeled it as a terrorist incident. People quickly took action after the attack, the victims are currently in a hospital in stable conditions, while the suspect has been arrested. The suspect of the stabbing, Essa Suleiman, allegedly has had a history of severe violence and mental health issues. Afterwards, Suleiman suffered a medical episode.

Norman Shine, aged 76, was stabbed in the neck, and Shloime Rand, aged 34, was presumably stabbed in the chest, as he suffered from a punctured lung. Neither of their injuries are terminal, and they are currently in the hospital, recovering from the attack. Suleiman was later charged with 3 counts of attempted murder and 1 count of possessing a bladed weapon in a public area.

More information based on a CNN article says “One was standing beside a bus stop, putting on his kippah, when a man shoved him against a sign and repeatedly stabbed him. The other was walking down a street when he was stabbed and yelled at the attacker before managing to run away.” (April 29, 2026, Karadsheh, Davey-Attlee).

The Pro-Iranian group, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiyya, who had also claimed that they were behind the arson attacks in London last month, also claimed that they were responsible for this attack, along with the others.

According to a Reuters article, the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer said “Let’s be frank, this ‌is not an ⁠isolated incident. There have been a series of antisemitic attacks,” he said, along with describing the stabbing as “utterly appalling” (April 29, 2026, Tobin, Young).
