On Saturday, August 26, two of the biggest names in sports will go head to head in a boxing match. Money man Floyd Mayweather and the notorious Connor McGregor will box it out in a match at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, that has had hype around it for months.

“I believe Connor McGregor will win with a knockout, because he is best known for his left handed punch,” said sophomore Bryce Asher. “Mayweather has never fought someone with such good foot work. Mayweather is also in his 40s and shorter than McGregor.”

Many think that the type of fight determines who will win.

“Mayweather will win because it is a boxing match and that is his sport. McGregor is used to fighting UFC and MMA, he doesn’t have as much experience as Mayweather,” said freshman Kyle Sendelbach.

Fans are excited to see two great fighters go head to head in this matchup, and appreciate the work both fighters have put in.

“I think that Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are two of the best fighters of this generation. This will be in my opinion, one of the greatest matches ever,” said junior Ryan Louis. “Although Mayweather has the advantage in his own sport, I believe McGregor is a more advanced athlete and will win the fight.”

People believe that Floyd Mayweather is too old to beat a younger athlete, and many people also believe that McGregor doesn’t have the ability to beat Mayweather in his sport.

“Mayweather is going to win. Boxing is not McGregor’s sport and Mayweather has had a long successful boxing career,” said sophomore Bailey Tate.

Mayweather is looking to improve his record to 50 wins and 0 losses in the fight, which will be available on Pay-Per-View.
