On Wednesday, November 14, in the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Portland Trail Blazers, small forward Lebron James climbed the National Basketball Association (NBA) all-time scoring list (ESPN.com). James, in that game, had 44 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assist; despite that monster stat line, that’s not what everyone has been talking about.  In that game James passed the late Wilt Chamberlain for number 5 in all-time NBA scoring.

According to ESPN, James in his 16 year career holds a lot of scoring records already. James is first in all-time playoff scoring, the youngest player to 10,00, 20,000 and 30,000 points. After passing Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki earlier this season for 6, he has now moved up to 5.
